The Loomis Shank is very poular and works well in most applications. Being loose jawed with a moderate lift to shank ratio, it works well as a transition bit from the snaffle to the leverage or curb bit. Hand Forged 8" Cold Steel loose shanks with Dees, 5" mouth has inlaid copper bars.
